Racing For A Cause

Jack Walker Racing is not just about racing to win, they're about winning for a cause. Winning is great, but making those wins meaningful, making them count towards a bigger goal, makes them that much more special. JWR is actively supporting a number of kids and local charities through their participation in racing and fundraising activities. Each year Jack and his family, crew, sponsors and friends, participate in a variety of fundraising events including MS New England, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The American Cancer Society, Children's Hospital at Dartmouth, the NH Food Bank and Jack's own school, just to name a few. In addition, Jack Walker Racing has been donating 5% of all sponsorship monies raised to children’s charities each year.
From Jack's family, who spend every weekend supporting his racing, either by working on the team, or just showing up to support him, to his friends, that make up his crew, working tirelessly on the kart, and the driver, to give him the opportunity to win, to his Sponsors who lend their support to the team in a variety of ways, Jack's desire and ability to win is evident week in and week out. Without this support Jack would not be able to fulfill his dream of becoming a professional race car driver. Even at his young age this support is not lost on Jack. Jack understands that he is fortunate enough to live his dream, and there are those less fortunate than he. He may not be racing for a paycheck yet but what he does earn through racing goes directly to charity. "There are kids out there that don't even get to go home. They have to live in a hospital and don't get to see their Mom & Dad every day. It may not be much, but those kids need the money more than I do." says Jack. Because Jack has been fortunate enough to do what he loves he has found ways to give back to those less fortunate by participating in a number of walks and races to raise money for local charities.
The longest relationship Jack has had is with the MS New England annual walk which takes place each April in Nashua NH. It is a 6 mile walk through Nashua’s north end. Jack collects donations from friends and family all year long to donate to this deserving charity. Jack got involved in the charity through his mother who has a friend that was diagnosed with MS in 2002. Jack’s mom had been doing the walk for a number of years when Jack decided that he too wanted to walk to raise money. Now, with Jack Walker Racing, Jack has a number of new contacts he can reach to help his fundraising efforts.
Jack is hoping that the recognition that he gains through Jack Walker Racing will allow him greater ease and access in raising funds in support of children’s charities around New England. He is also actively fundraising for a variety of causes designed to benefit his school including Box Tops for Education. Jack will be collecting Box Tops at all of his racing events and public appearances to raise money for his school. Each box top collected earns his school 10 cents so please consider collecting with Jack.  You can collect your own boxtops off of products you use everyday.
Visit the Boxtops for Education website for a list of participating products.  Jack will be collecting boxtops along with the Jack Walker Racing crew, at every racing event he attends.  If you cant make it to an event, please consider mailing your boxtops to JWR or giving them to any member of the JWR team.
Collecting items to give to worthy charities is an easy way to help out that doesn't require any financial hardship in these tough economic times.  Jack has decided that if helping one charity is good then helping a bunch of charities is even better. In addition to collecting Box Tops, Jack is also collecting a number of other items. Jack's school earns money for school activities by collecting used books. Jack will also be collecting for the NH Food Bank and Toys for Tots.  He's also started a penny drive so if you have any extra pennies we will gladly accept them.  "You don't have to give a lot, every little bit helps." All pennies collected will be donated to a Children's Hospital at Dartmouth.
