Jack Walker Racing

Jack drove his new race car for the first time this weekend in a couple of days of practice.  For an eleven year old kid who obviously had never driven a full size car before, let alone a stick, he took to it very quickly.  Jack got the hang of working the clutch and the shift and ran his first laps on Friday.  After starting the day taking it slow and easy he cut 14 seconds off of his lap times to finish the day within a half a second of the times from last years field.

Saturday was his first practice with other cars on the track.  After spending the morning on track for the Canaan Fair Speedways Car show, Jack took home first place in his division in the Best in Show awards ceremony.  Thanks so much to Tom Fuller of Reliable Collision for the awesome paint job, and Wayne at Universal Signworks for the beautiful graphics.  

Jack's first practice on track with other cars went really well.  He held his own and even made a pass.  We were all very proud of the way he handled the race car.  This looks like it could be another great season of racing!!
